Fatal Car Accident in School Craft Michigan
One witness said it sounded like a bomb exploded when a PT Cruiser smashed into another vehicle from behind in School Craft, Michigan on US-131.
The crash caused a chain reaction and six other cars were affected. The driver in the first car that was rear-ended died instantly. The car was engulfed in flames.
Schoolcraft Police Chief Bryan Campbell said that speeding has always been a problem on US-131, where speed limits are 70 MPH but eventually come to a slowing halt. While there are signs warning people that speeds decrease, drivers have seemingly ignored them and continue traveling at a fast rate of speed.
