Tiger’s Safety: How to Leave the Tigers Game Without Getting in a Car Accident
In our last blog post, we covered the tragic accident that took the lives of 3 generations of family members. The family was leaving a Tigers game; they were on the Lodge, and were injured as a result of a rollover accident after a reckless driver tried speeding past their car.
So, in an effort to raise awareness, and having just left Detroit during rush hour traffic, then Goodwin & Scieszka want to remind you of some simple steps to avoid a car or motorcycle accident in Michigan:
• Move over for cars driving faster than you. People tend to speed while driving on the Lodge. If you’re heading back to the suburbs, be aware that there are careless drivers who’ll pass you on the right-hand side.
• Signal. It sounds simple, but people don’t do it. Having handled Michigan car accident claims for the last 30 years, it’s unbelievable how many car accidents that I learned could have been avoided by the use of a simple traffic signal.
• Keep your phone down. Please. This is one of the leading causes of traffic fatalities in the country.
Again, in an effort to reduce the very incidents that we often defend, our Michigan personal injury firm wants to remind all drivers, especially those leaving Detroit after a Tigers game, to be careful; and we’d also would like to say, “go Tigers!”
