Mackinac Island Ferries Up For the Season
All 3 Mackinac Island ferry lines are up and running for the season. This year’s season started later than usual as the ferries were unable to break through the massive amounts of ice that accumulated during our harsh winter.
Mackinac Island is one of Michigan’s busiest tourist attractions and it’s hard to call yourself a Michigander if you haven’t visited before. The island is only 3.8 square miles where you can ride horses, bike, eat fudge, visit Fort Mackinac, or wine and dine at the many eclectic restaurants.
The only way to get to Mackinac, aside from dangerous ice bridge that forms every winter, are the ferries.
