“What’s very important is to come to my office to handle the dog bite situations. I have over 26 years of experience in handling these dog attacks. It’s not just a dog bite but I’ve handled many cases where elderly people have been knocked down by dogs that have been running loose in the neighborhood. They’ve resulted in fractured hips, fractured arms, shoulder surgeries, and 26 years of experience gives me intimate knowledge of understanding dog attacks. Not only have I been in the courtroom fighting and protecting my clients’ rights I also go in the courtroom to make sure that the victim of the dog attack, their case is handled properly and professionally. You know, I don’t represent the person when the dog owner gets a ticket. That’s the state. That’s the city, the prosecutor, the city attorney, and it’s very important many times that the victims don’t have to, you know, they’re in the neighborhood with this dog and they want to make sure that this dog is either away, put down, protected, leashed, muzzled, whatever, and I’ve made it a goal to make sure that that particular city obtained a vicious dog ordinance, that we changed the law in that particular city to make sure that what happened to my client will never happen to anybody else. That’s one of the things that we do at Goodwin & Scieszka and make sure that the laws are followed and in the future people are protected in their own neighborhoods.”
